Feature - Duran Bickmore - Pro Rollerblader

Pro Rollerblader/Pro Skimboarder/ Ambassador / Student / Return Missionary
 Duran Bickmore

I would use the above photo to introduce Duran with the story and use some of the action photos below throughout the story.

I would use the photo above as the main photo in the story because it is the best action shot and he is doing a hard trick. Fishbrain

D - Week Post

I shot the record breaking event at the softball field on Thursday I believe.  There were not many people that came out at first but it picked up.

Joey, the Man, was getting everyone, big to small, college aged to preschool children, energized for the big event.

He brought on stage a few raffle ticket winners.

The crowd decided to show up.  Typical Dixie crowd, shows up 20 minutes late!

Everyone moved around the circle where the world record was to be broken.

Action shot of all 587 people throwing the bouncy balls.

Checking for the winning ball numbers.

I like this shot.

This problem affects everyone that lives in our first world society every single day.  I thought of this idea when I was sitting on my laptop on Facebook and decided to pull out my phone and check Instagram while it was plugged in and my hands got caught in the wires of my laptop charger and my cell phone charger.  I put the laptop cords around Shi-Quan because it shows how restrained and restricted by technology we have become and how we have learned to live through our cell phones and social media as a whole.  Without our social media aspects and platforms we are basically worthless.  For example, we post these pictures on a social media outlet through blogger.  We are so attached to our cell phones and our computers that we are somewhat bound by them, at least I am.

Physical : I took this photo of Shi-Quan laying down on a carpet because it had a solid background and I couldn't find just a white background anywhere that I could also have him laying down on.  I put the computer right next to him because it is the main device through which we are bound.

Psychological : This photo touches the psychological context because it proves how we are mentally attached to all of our devices and are bound by them.  We live our lives through them because that is the easiest and best way we now know how to.  I have witnessed people pull out their computer, get on their tablet and have their cell phone next to them AS WELL as listening to an iPod or iTouch or something of that sort.

Cultural : This photo is an epitome of how we, as a culture, have become submersed in our technological devices and how we can't escape them.  We have become so attached to our devices for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for example, that we have become slaves to our phones and laptops.  I can barely go to sleep without touching my cellphone seeing if I have a text message or Snapchat or something of that sort.  It is a bad habit I need to break, but it is so hard with how easy our culture can get our hands on phones or computers or laptops.

Temporal : This is supposed to be taken as a metaphor showing how people have become slaves and bound to our technology and cell phones.
